About the Role
As a Cloud Platform / DevOps Engineer at iForAI, you'll architect and build the enterprise-grade infrastructure that powers our commercial platform. You'll create the closed-source, cloud-native backend systems that serve as the enterprise counterpart to our open source offering, delivering the robustness, security, and scalability that enterprise customers demand.
You'll own two critical areas: (1) the cloud infrastructure for our enterprise offering and (2) the CI/CD pipelines for our open source packages. This dual ownership requires balancing startup speed with enterprise readiness—building infrastructure that lets us move quickly and iterate rapidly while still providing the stability and security enterprise customers require.
This is a backend-focused role with complete infrastructure ownership. You'll work primarily with TypeScript, Kubernetes, Docker and cloud-native technologies to build systems that maintain our startup agility while meeting enterprise-grade requirements. Your infrastructure will be the foundation of our enterprise business—directly enabling our ability to monetize at scale while preserving the innovation speed that drives our growth.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement the cloud architecture for our enterprise platform, supporting both hosted and self-hosted deployment models
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for our open source package ecosystem
Architect enterprise-grade infrastructure with appropriate security, scalability, and reliability
Develop multi-tenant cloud systems that meet enterprise compliance and performance requirements
Implement infrastructure-as-code practices for consistent, reproducible deployments
Create automated monitoring, logging, and alerting for production environments
Design and build self-hosted deployment capabilities for enterprise customers
Establish best practices for security, backup, and disaster recovery
Optimize cloud resources and costs while maintaining high performance
Collaborate with the team to understand enterprise infrastructure requirements
Our main requirements are:
3+ years of experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure
Strong expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for diverse codebases
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
Experience with AWS cloud services and architecture patterns
Working knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript
Experience building systems that can be deployed across different environments
Strong security and compliance mindset
High level of autonomy, technical ownership, and self-direction
Excellent communication skills
